The Challenge

Our challenge was to make JD Wetherpoon’s customer aware of the non-smoking legislation.

What We Did

Marketing Metrix developed a Door Drop awareness strategy using external data to target likely JD Wetherspoon customers. Information such as location, demographics and proximity to a JD Wetherspoon pub were analysed to create 6 segments of likely customers. Each segment received a different creative treatment, in total over 18 million coupon booklets were distributed.

The Outcome

Awareness of the non-smoking legislations increased drastically and sales following the coupon drop were up by 7%.
